on the Har Ki Dun Trek. During this time, the valley is adorned with vibrant

weather in Har Ki Dun during autumn is moderate, providing pleasant daytime
warmth and cool, comfortable nights. The trek covers a distance of 43 km,
starting from Sankri village and passing through Taluka, Osla, Kalkattiyadhar,
and finally, Har Ki Dun.
The autumn season offers optimal
trekking conditions, with dry and stable trails reducing the risk of slips and
mud. Additionally, local dhabas (food stalls) are open, which provide trekkers
to enjoy delicious local cuisine along the way. The Supin River flows through
the valley and provides a refreshing stop where trekkers can savor a sip of
pure mountain water.

paradise but also a cultural gem. The valley's locals lead a life deeply

transporting goods, and gather medicinal herbs known as Jadi Butis, and all
these help in their day-to-day earnings.
Stunning Peaks Visible from Har Ki Dun
The Har Ki Dun Valley trek offers
spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. To the left of the Bandarpunch
range stands the majestic Black Peak (Kalanag), known for its dark, rocky
appearance and challenging climbing routes. To the right, the Swargarohini
Peaks dominate the horizon, creating a breathtaking Himalayan panorama.
Swargarohini is considered the gateway to heaven, with legends saying that
Yudhishthira, one of the Pandavas, reached heaven through this route.
